A New Favorite Micropoint Patch Has Entered the Chat

I have been battling medication-induced breakouts for quite awhile now (Thanks, JAKne!) and it’s been a huge pain. There is a teensy tiny bright side, in that I have tried SO MANY different acne patches AND developed very strong feelings about them. They’re all fine, though I’ve only repurchased a few. The ones I’m going to evangelize today have stolen my heart and helped me stop being a skin picker (I’m so sorry I tried to think of another term and everything I came up with was actually worse).

My breakouts had started becoming those deep lurkers that just sit under the skin hurting for days, tempting me to just stick a lancet in them or perform some other ill-advised at-home procedure. I love Acropass, but I can’t wear them more than once per breakout, or my skin will get irritated and peely and I’ll STILL have a big ol’ zit hanging around. These EasyDerm patches are also great, but I think they’re a little overpriced and I fully gave up on the two-step, cica gel process. Who has the TIME? But I did a little searching and realized that what I wanted from the EasyDerm patches I could get elsewhere, so I searched for “magnesium micropoint acne patch” and found what might be my favorite find of the year.

FreeGo Magnesium Spot Care Patches are just what I was looking for: They have a micropoint that you can actually feel, they don’t irritate my skin so I can wear them multiple nights (and sometimes days!) in a row, and most of all, they are wildly effective.

The FreeGo patches come in 5 sizes - I find medium is the most versatile, but I have also appreciated large when things are dire. These also come with comically useless tweezers, but there’s no cica gel to faff around with like EasyDerm, and no irritation that comes with Acropass. I have applied a FreeGo patch for 2, sometimes even 3 nights in a row and I have zero irritation AND that nodule tempting me to mess with it is GONE. Imagine going from feeling like there’s a threatening mass on your face to… nothing. It’s miraculous.

Medium and large varieties

They stay on super well, even when I’ve been desperate and worn one all day long. And I like that when you press the patch in after applying, you can feel the micropoints. I want to know it’s doing what it’s meant to be doing! And if that’s not enough to convince you FreeGo patches are worth a try, well, how about a deep zit that’s shrunk by HALF with just one night of wearing one of these patches? And then after night two, it’s GONE?? I’ve gotten things under control skin-wise, but writing this has made me realize I’m out of medium FreeGo patches and I MUST have some on hand at all times. You never know what’s lurking under your skin, waiting for the perfect time to ruin your week.
