The Acupressure Rings That Help Me Fidget in Silence

After I was diagnosed with ADHD it was like I was given a secret view of my entire life up until then. I am a classic case of a woman having ADHD all her life and not finding out until she’s in her 30s. AND I only found out because of TikTok. I mean, I do have an actual diagnosis from a doctor, but the only reason I asked to be tested/analyzed for it was because TikTok kept telling me I was neurodivergent. So many things make SO MUCH SENSE that I’m regularly like “HOW did no one see this??” and like, yeah, this is the story for millions of women — no one was LOOKING.

My point is, I have been demonstrably neurodivergent my entire life, and I have fidgeted my entire life. If I have a video call and I don’t have something in my hands, I’m going to find something to do with my hands…by which I mean fuck up my nails/fingers/cuticles. I’ve tried a few different fidgets and written about them (I do still recommend the Tangle!) but my latest (and greatest?) fidgeting obsession is acupressure rings.

Acupressure Rings for Fidgeting

I got a 10 pack of rings on Amazon for around $5, and from the moment I slid one on my finger I was in love. They are completely silent, they let me mess with my fingers without messing UP my fingers, and they’re ultra-portable. I keep them all over my house, and no Zoom call is pleasant without one. I’d imagine every person’s fidget style is different, but if you are someone who will mess with their hands all day long, I highly suggest trying out acupressure rings.
