These Lighters Are a Bit Pricey, But For a Candle Lover, They’re Worth Every Cent

  1. In 2021 I wrote about my upgraded candle setup, which included a wick trimmer and snuffer. I also mentioned I had ordered a USB lighter, but it hadn’t arrived yet. WELL, I still use my candle tools daily, and my USB lighter was a huge improvement from the crappy lighters I’d used in the past. I was bringing my USB lighter from room to room when I wanted to light a candle, and I decided I needed to get more, but the lighters from USB Lighter Company aren’t cheap, and Amazon has ones that are. This was a MISTAKE. I bought two USB lighters from Amazon for like $10 each, and they needed to be charged CONSTANTLY. I had four wick candles in my kitchen for awhile and after the 8th time I could only light two wicks before needed to plug my lighter in, I decided I needed to just shell out for a more expensive, but infinitely better, USB Lighter Company lighter.

I have two lighters now from the USB Lighter Company and they are the best. My first lighter, mentioned in that original post, was the Motli, and the second that I just bought is the MJR (which I now know, as of three seconds ago, stands for Motli Jr). The difference, from someone who knows nothing about them apart from owning and using both, is that the Motli is heavier (it is ONE gram heavier but it feels like more), has an LED light, and has lights along the side to show the charge level. I like the feel of the Motli better (it feels like it costs $45, which is a nice trick to play on your brain), but there is absolutely no reason I have found to buy the $45 Motli over the $30 MJR. I have never once used my Motli as a flashlight, and while I like the little battery level lights on the side, these lighters can light 1000 wicks before needing a charge, so I never really look at it. I’m wondering now why I bought a Motli over an MJR and there’s a chance the MJR didn’t exist in 2021? Source needed on that one, but it might be true.

You can buy USB Lighter Company lighters on Amazon, for the same price as getting them direct from the USB Lighter Co website. BUT! There are wild coupon codes available if you buy direct. I got my first USB lighter for 45% off, and this most recent one was 30% off. Amazon can deliver faster, but I’d rather save 30-45%, especially when I’m spending more on a candle lighter than I would have ever imagined. Don’t buy a USB Lighter Co lighter without a coupon code, but please know they are absolutely worth the cost. They can give you up to 200,000 lights during their lifetime, they’re easy to recharge, and they always work. I spent $20 on two pieces of crap when I could have spent that money on a USB Lighter Company lighter that will never let me down or leave me with two out of four wicks of a candle lit.
