Wear, Watch, Want #247: The Old School Dinosaur Basement Edition

Wear: Aerie Sweatpants

Aerie has become one of my go-tos for lounge clothes. These Throw-Back Fleece Joggers are classic, basic sweatpants, but with Aerie sizing that has never done me wrong. I get them in the long inseam, and they’re perfect. These are my number one house pants — great for lounging on the couch, working from home, and even the occasional quick errand. My only complaint is that there’s no drawstring in the waist, and to get them to fit my hips the waist is a little loose, but for perfectly good basic sweats, it’s a small price to pay. And they pass the true test of a beloved clothing item: I’m sad when they’re in the wash.

Watch: Barbarian

I didn’t see Barbarian in the theater, but I followed the directions of every other person who saw it and avoided all spoilers until it hit HBO this week. I had no idea what to expect, but I saw the trailer and thought it looked dumb! Luckily, the trailer is not at all representative of the movie… intentionally! There were a few things I didn’t like, but I did appreciate that it’s funny AND thrill-y, and it stars Georgina Campbell who also stars in one of my favorite Black Mirror episodes. Also, truly excellent use of Bill Skarsgård (‘s reputation as a creepy character actor).

Want: Car Sticker

People in the Pacific Northwest LOVE a car sticker. I didn’t really get it, but now I have a sticker on my car and it benefits me every day. See, every third person here drives a silver compact SUV, and the only way to find your car quickly is with those dang stickers. That may not be why everyone has stickers on their cars, but it’s why I do, and I bet I’m not the only one. I’m getting a new-to-me car soon, and I will be in need of a new sticker. Currently I have a Sasquatch, but I’m thinking this time I’ll go dinosaur themed, and It’s either going to be this Jurassic Park Tourism one, or this simple stegosaurus.
