Wear, Watch, Want #150: The Printed, Patterned Cannibal Edition

Birkenstocks are available at all sorts of places, but there are tons of Birks that are only available on the Birkenstock website, which is where I found these beauties. I’m a devotee of the Gizeh sandal, but when I saw these Arizonas in the “Dazzle Camo Black White” print I knew my collection needed them. I particularly love that the footbed is black - so often I love a show and the sole or the footbed are weird and it makes them completely unacceptable to me. I cannot wear a shoe with a white sole, no matter how much I want metallic Birkenstocks! These are super comfy, cute, and add just a little interest to my usual outfit of black leggings and a grey tank top.

Watch: Hannibal

I don’t often rewatch shows. There are so many great NEW shows and I’ve also set myself up to need a different “watch” each week. But it turns out I never wrote about Hannibal, and now that it’s on Netflix in its entirety I’ve been rewatching while I cross stitch, and it’s just as good the second time around (I definitely rewatched the first season before the second came out, but I’ve never rewatched 2 or 3). I said this the entire time Hannibal was on TV, but it’s still so wild to me that this show was on network TV. WILD. There is… so much violence. If you’re new to Hannibal, or just don’t remember, they had to cover some butts with more blood because butt cracks are too sexy but if you cover them in blood it’s ok (?!). This country is a continual nightmare.

ANYWAY, Hannibal has been a delight to rewatch. It is so gross and weird and funny and again, this was on network TV!

Want: Athleta Tie Dye Sweatshirt

Tie dye is popular right now, but it’s not your summer camp craft project tie dye - this is elevated. Well, elevate enough that I feel like as a person over 30 I can wear it and not look like… a kid at summer camp. I particularly like this one from Athleta, and it’s on my “get it when there’s a sale” shopping list.
