Wear, Watch, Want #172: The Pinned Flighty Sweatshirt Edition
Wear: Gray Crewneck Sweatshirts
I am the Queen of Gray Sweatshirts. It’s gotten to the point where when I’m shopping, I’ll see a little swatch of something on a rack, I pull it out, it’s a gray sweatshirt, I go, “Oooooh1” and then have to have a talk with myself about how I already have three things in my closet that look just like this. That being said, I am always on the lookout for more. Two of my current favorites are this Madewell men’s crewneck sweatshirt, which I got in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year (If I had known how much I would wear it - I’m wearing it AS I TYPE THIS - I would have bought two) and this Chitown Clothing sweatshirt I got in an REI summer sale (I had to wait months before I could wear it, but it was worth it). I’m so dedicated to the Gray Sweatshirt Lifestyle that I bought a gray sweatshirt version of an enamel pin I already own!
Watch: The Flight Attendant
The Flight Attendant is a ridiculous, frustrating show about a woman making terrible decisions. It’s also styled and shot beautifully, and is interesting without being taxing. It is exactly what the world needs right now. I had no feelings about Kaley Cuoco before I starting watching The Flight Attendant, and I still don’t really (apart from looking at her IMDb and thinking, “Good for her, she must be SO rich”), but I DO think she is PERFECT in this role. Why do I care what happens to this terrible person? Because of Kaley Cuoco! That’s ACTING, Baybee. This show has also convinced me I need to have curtain bangs. I’m probably also convinced YOU need to have curtain bangs! Curtain bangs for everyone in 2021!
Want: Pin Banner
Speaking of enamel pins I own, I need a new way to store/display my vast pin collection. I had a pin board in my old apartment, and I moved it with me to Seattle, but it didn’t really arrive in pristine condition, and I’ve been doing some decorating and it’s not really fitting in with the new vibe. I’m thinking of getting some of these banners, and putting them inside the door of my closet. Then I can make my pin selections and see the full collection, but also not have to dedicate precious wall space to my weird pieces of flair.
