Add Power To Your Shower With This Dynamic Duo

I've been a Soap & Glory fangirl since the UK brand was only sold in a tiny corner shelf at Sephora. Their Original Pink fragrance is absolutely intoxicating. I'd splurge on their bath products, which came at a significant markup here in the US, because not only did they leave my skin feeling lovely, but I got completely hooked on the scent. Not too long ago, Soap & Glory left Sephora and moved to mass retailers - and changed their price points to match. Now my favorite products were half their former prices, and I was in heaven. Slowly, Soap & Glory is moving from being available solely online (still the easiest place to find the full range of products) to being in more and more brick and mortar stores. My Target has had a bare shelf in their beauty department for at least a year and every time I'm there I check to see if they've filled it with Soap & Glory. (Update: Still waiting.)

The nice thing about one of your favorite brands slashing their prices in half is that your favorite stuff now feels like an insane bargain. Another perk, particularly for the beauty obsessed like myself, is that it makes it incredibly easy to try new products. I'd always wanted to try Soap & Glory's Flake Away Body Polish, and when I saw it in a Target store for $13 I thought, "Why not?" It's now part of what I like to call The Soap & Glory Dream Team.

My favorite body wash, Clean On Me Clarifying Shower Gel, and Flake Away Body Polish are my shower's current MVPs. Most of the week I use Clean On Me, which not only has that addicting Original Pink scent, is super moisturizing, but is also a real steal for something that feels so luxurious. The soap comes in a pump bottle, which helps with... what do I want to say? Dosing? Portion control? Well, you know what I mean: You don't overdose. I've found that three pumps is the perfect amount to get your Salux Washcloth perfectly frothy. If you use that amount at each shower, a bottle lasts approximately ages. Plus, a bottle is only $9. It's a very small investment for something that makes you feel like one classy mofo.

As for the scrub, I usually use that about twice a week. This is when having a water shutoff valve in your shower comes in very handy. Just flip off the water, grab your scrub, and go to town. Once your whole body is sufficiently scrubbed, turn the water back on and feel the grit rinse away and your new soft skin emerge. I wasn't sure if Flake Away would have a huge effect since I use a very gritty washcloth in the shower anyway, but Salux cloths aren't moisturizing, don't smell good, and lack all glamour. There's definitely a difference in my attitude when I get out of a regular old shower versus a scrub sesh. I like to really go to town and combine a face mask, hair wash with deep conditioner, and full body scrub. I leave my bathroom feeling like a new woman. And thanks to products you can buy at the drugstore for a little over $20! Hallelujah!
