This Clear Lip Oil Is the Ideal Middle Ground Between Lip Stain and Lip Balm
I still wear a mask when I’m out running errands or in crowded public spaces, which means I’m conscientious and safe but I also have a whole collection of colorful lip products languishing in my drawers. Look, I’m not going to take the time to apply a tinted lip balm only to have it smear all over the inside of a mask and potentially all over my face. I’ve found some amazing lip tints that really do stay put, and they’ve become my go-tos for when I want a lip color (Peripera reviewed here, Etude House reviewed here), but sometimes I want a little more than my Aquaphor lip balm can give, but I dont’ want to deal with color. This is where NYX came to the rescue, with their Fat Oil Lip Drip.
This lip oil comes in colors as well, but, for the aforementioned reasons, I went with clear. Fat Oil comes in a cute little mini tube with a perfectly curved doe foot applicator, and it provides a thick, shiny, moisturizing gloss without stickiness or that “this will slide off my lips in 20 minutes” feeling. It’s the perfect middle ground! I often don’t wear any makeup, but I want to look a little pulled together (more so than a swipe of Aquaphor can provide), NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip is my ideal product.
