The Barely There Lip Tint, For When You Want to Look Pulled Together But Not Made-Up

I have been completely obsessed with my Peripera Lip Tints, but heres a fun fact: When I ordered the lip tints I raved about before, I also got a tube of Etude Fixing Tint (I only learned it’s not called Etude House anymore by trying to find links for this post. The more you know!) Comparing these two products is not fair, I know that now, but at the time I swatched all my tints and the Etude Fixing Tint was kinda meh compared to the vibrant hues of Peripera. The Fixing Tint went in a drawer and I figured oh well, another trial and error. BUT THEN, one day, weeks later, I was feeling bleh, but wanted to wear a touch of makeup. Concealer, blush, mascara, brows… just enough to convince me I looked better on the outside than I felt on the inside. I pulled my Fixing Tint in Midnight Mauve out of the drawer and put some on… and it was PERFECT.

My big mistake was comparing Fixing Tint to Peripera Lip Tints. They’re not the same and you shouldn’t use them interchangeably! Peripera is for when you want to wear a LIP, Etude is for when you want a TINT. Does that make sense? I don’t know. Do I think it’s the best way to describe these two products? YEAH, I DO.

Etude Fixing Tint is perfect for days when you’re wearing minimal makeup, but you don’t want to come home at the end of the day/night, glance in the mirror, and scare yourself because your makeup’s all faded and you look like a little Victorian ghost boy. Think of it as a way of preserving your most beautiful natural lip color so it lasts through your whole day.

I now have two Fixing Tints, Midnight Mauve and Cranberry Plum, and they’re what I reach for when i want a true tint of color. I’m a minimal makeup girlie now, so that’s fairly often. I put lip balm over the tints, and the color still stays all day. If you’ve tried Peripera lip tints and found the color payoff to be a little much, I highly recommend Etude Fixing Tints.
