I'm a Cis Woman, and I Own a Ball Trimmer (You Should Too)
TikTok trends are so weird. Sometimes you get a video on your FYP where someone mentions some “big” trend that you’ve NEVER seen. Or, like me and all the Fosse videos last spring, you think something must be trending all over the place and you find out, no, it’s just your little corner of the app. (This video is the best I’ve seen of explaining the many different TikToks to a person unfamiliar, who thinks it’s all just one app.) This is all to say, a few months ago I was getting served multiple videos about ball trimmers.

It was an avalanche of women proclaiming their love of ball trimmers, and when I saw a cyber monday super sale, I got myself a Meridian. I looked at a few that various TikTokers recommended, and I wish I could tell you some specs or details that made it The Best, but I chose the Meridian becasue it was on sale (for $50), and I liked the way it looked, particularly in sage green.
It’s simple. It has one button, it’s rechargeable, it’s waterproof, and it works. It’s great for sensitive areas, but I also got it thinking I could use it on my armpits. I like a smooth pit, - not a value judgement, just a personal preference - and I have the unfortunate habit of slicing my armpits up not all the time, but not infrequently. Could I just slow down? Be more careful? No, I cannot. I don’t know why, but that’s not something I can do. So I bought my pits a ball trimmer.
I’ve used my Meridian on various body parts, wearing contacts and without, and I have not once had any nicks, cuts, irritation, or anything other than the results of my dreams. I will say, if you want to use this on your armpits, but also want fully hairless armpits, the Meridian is going to disappoint. If you are like me, and want virtually no pit hair but also no self-inflicted pit wounds, then this could be your salvation.
