Wear, Watch, Want #197: The Thrilling, Muscled Sandal Edition
Wear: Athleta Cloudlight Muscle Tank
I love Athleta’s cloudlight line. I have at least four cloudlight tops, but when I saw this muscle tank, I knew I’d need multiples. It is perfect. It’s loose but not too loose. The arm holes are low cut but not too low cut. The neck is high but not too high. The length is perfect. I have two and I’m going to get more. I’m wearing one as I type this! It’s soft! It’s versatile! It’s all I want to wear! I only wish it came in some better colors - I’m not a pastel kinda person - but hopefully they’ll keep making this and new colors will arrive soon. I want an oxblood, a gray, a dark gray, a forest green… I want them all.

I get a lot of BookTok in my TikTok feed, and while some I like and some I don’t, I do read quite a few TikTok recommended books. Lately, i’ve been loving what i call TikTok thrillers - the thrillers that BookTok loves to recommend. Some of them make me doubt a person’s judgement (The Silent Patient) and some I see recommended so often I have to get them, and I accidentally read them in one sitting (Verity). Is Verity the official “OMG WTF MUST READ” book of TikTok/BookTok as a whole, or just in my algorithm? Like I said, I accidentally read it in one sitting, and I’m not even sure I would recommend it! But here’s the thing, while I don’t even know if I thought Verity was good, I was IN IT, and I don’t know the last time I read a book all at once. That’s a great feeling! I felt like a kid again! I had nothing to do BUT read this book!
I also got into Lisa Jewell from BookTok. I read The Family Upstairs (I liked reading it, but it was just okay!) and now I’m reading Then She Was Gone. I read a TON of Brit lit when I was a teenager, and I find Jewell’s books comforting, in a way. Reading a book set in England, for hours, as through I have nothing else to do? It makes me feel 15 again. Escapism at its finest.
Want: Teva Hurricane Sandals
I bought a pair of Teva Hurricane Drift sandals, and I love them. BUT, they’re EVA sandals and the bottoms are getting ripped UP from me wearing them on dog walks. But I like them so much more than my Teva Universal sandals, so now I want a “real” pair of hurricanes. The only problem is I can’t choose which ones to get. Do I want multicolor? Pattern? And which pattern? I’d own them already if I could just CHOOSE.
