Wear, Watch, Want #195: The Sneaky Running Vape Edition

Wear: Lululemon Run Times Bra

I have been on a hunt for a high impact sports bra for some time. I wrote about it just two weeks ago, and since then I ordered two SheFit bras, didn’t like them, bought 6 bras at Target to try on at home because the dressing rooms aren’t open yet, returned all of those, went to Athleta TWICE and tried on bras for 90 minutes both times (I really, REALLY want their Phenomena Bra to work. The sizing is a MESS. It is unwearable), and finally ended up at Lululemon, where I was able to try on many, many bras, and find the Run Times Bra, which is just about exactly what I was looking for. I have been wearing True & Co and Athleta bras for the past I don’t know how long, so I had no idea what bra size I am. Luckily, I was served 100 bra fit TikToks that all recommended A Bra That Fits and their sizing quiz. I took it, found out I’m a 36DDD/G, and was able to at least have a starting point with bra shopping. I ended up getting a 38D in the Run Times Bra, which fits well but is not my size, so if you can, I’d recommend trying on in-store or ordering multiple bras to see what will work best for you. I have tried on so many bras that I have angry red chafe marks around my ribcage, so believe me when I say I do not want to recommend spending hours in fitting rooms, especially at a place as toxic and draining as a Lululemon, but sometimes you’ve just gotta.

Watch: Mare of Easttown

I didn’t want to watch Mare fo Easttown. I am not interested in a show about dead girls! Enough! But I got a few more glimpses of the show and read some reviews and yes, there is a dead girl, but it’s not a dead girl show. I had the exact same feelings about Happy Valley, and then I watched it and I loved it. The parallels between Happy Valley and Mare of Easttown are legion, so if you liked one, decent odds you will like the other. When this post goes live, the Mare of Easttown finale is TOMORROW, and I am READY.

Want: Madewell Kickoff Trainers, But Different

So Madewell has these cute lil’ sneakers, they come in some great patterns, and I particularly like polka-dot and leopard versions. BUT, they are (barf) calf hair. CALF HAIR SNEAKERS??!! We all have our hang ups, and I have a visceral aversion to certain textures, and calf/pony hair is one of them. I can’t do it. It’s disgusting, and then to use it in a sneaker??? Madewell? More like UNWELL. I would buy these shoes! I would buy two pairs! But calf hair is a no-go for me.
