Wear, Watch, Want #184: The Bold Baseball Oprah Edition

Wear: Hats

As well as slathering on sunscreen, I also like to wear a hat when I’m outside. I had just one hat for a long time, a North Face one that’s super lightweight and great for walking or running errands and hiding how long it’s been since your last hair wash. But I wanted some variety. I got one from Super Yaki, which they no longer have on the website but it’s the Nora Ephron dad hat. I also got this cheeseburger one. And I have a maroon leopard print one from Athleta. Now that I have hats to choose from, I am addicted to variety and I want even more. I want a tie dye one, like this, and once I started looking at customizable hats on Etsy I was immediately imagining spending like, $100 on HATS.

I MEAN. I cannot believe i planned to NOT watch this special and just see the highlights on Twitter the next day. IT WAS ALL HIGHLIGHTS. I can’t talk about it. I have too much to say. So I’ll just leave you with this:

Want: OTT Throw Pillow

I have a little corner nook in my kitchen, and after lot of shopping and researching and thinking about it for a long time (I mentioned my hunt for nook cushions in WWW #107), I got some. Turns out the best, cheapest, easiest option was to order custom nook cushions from an Etsy shop in Lithuania (I am in no way kidding). The cushions look incredible, truly perfect, but the corner needs a pillow. Because my kitchen is almost entirely white and gray (plus a Vienna Beef Chicago style hotdog barstool cover on the wall - again I would NEVER kid you about this) I can get away with a very bold pillow. I’m specifically looking for an outdoor one, so it’s both durable and large (tag yourself!) and even with those restrictions there are some WILD ones to choose from. Right now this is the frontrunner, but there is also this one, and so SO many more.
