I am completely DONE with shoelaces. I bought these silicone lace replacements for my AllBirds, but the new running shoes I got needed something with a different aesthetic. I ordered some Lock Laces from Amazon, which are the bestelling shoelace AND have a 4.6 star rating with over 17,000 reviews. What I’m saying is, they seemed like a safe bet. It took a little research to figure out how to install them (they come with directions but I needed to go to the Lock Laces website to get some clarity) but now that they’re in and I’ve been wearing them for a few weeks, these are, IMO, the only shoelaces worth having.

What was a Tumblr, is now a podcast! Also, I believe it’s still a Tumblr! I have been working my way through every episode of This Had Oscar Buzz, after first picking a few episodes here and there and then realizing I wanted to hear them all. Each week the hosts pick a movie that, believe it or not, had Oscar buzz. They break down why, who, how, and ultimately what went wrong. There are frequent tangents, and an episode about Salmon Fishing in The Yemen will veer into a 20 minute segment about the films of Steven Soderbergh. As someone who has watched the Oscars since birth, and refers to awards season and The High Holy Days, this is right up my alley.

I got an Apple Watch. I am… obsessed with it. I had a FitBit for about a year and a half before this, and I think the Apple Watch is a VAST improvement. I have already amassed multiple straps for every mood and occasion, but what I really need is one in my favorite color: Leopard print. This one from Casetify is my top contender.
