Wear, Watch, Want #162: The Arthritic Cash Computer Edition
Wear: Voltaren Gel
Voltaren is the name brand for Diclofenac, which used to only be available by prescription. But as of this year it’s available OTC, and you can get all the arthritis pain relief you want. As someone who has pain in their hands, wrists, and elbows that sometimes aches in such a sharp, hard-to-pinpoint way that I was to tear my arms off, Voltaren is a miracle product. It’s really only effective on limbs, so this isn’t a great solution for say, hip or back pain. I keep a tube in my medicine cabinet, one in my kitchen, one in my bedroom… now that I can buy as many tubes as I want, why not make them conveniently accessible? If you’ve never tried Voltaren, I’d suggest getting a small tube at Target or another drugstore. But if you know you like it, the best deal is at Costco.
Watch: Halt and Catch Fire
Halt and Catch Fire is one of those shows I always meant to watch, for Lee Pace reasons.

And while the show ended in 2017, it wasn’t available to stream easily until like, this year. Fall is here, it’s going to start getting dark at like 3:30, it’s time to binge watch a show while on the couch, under at least two quilts. I am only four episodes in, but those four episodes I watched in ONE sitting. I can’t remember the last time I was just like, “Netflix, let it ride!” and watched that much TV at once. It’s great! I missed it!
Want: Phone/Wallet Wristlet
Did you know that we’re still in Pandemic Times? Because sometimes I feel like no one else thinks that but me! When I go out, it’s for quick errands. I’m not interested in having a browse around a mall, I’m certainly not going to a restaurant. I want to go to where I need to and then LEAVE. So the big ol’ bag of who knows what I used to lug around isn’t really necessary anymore. I just need something to carry my wallet, phone, keys, and maybe a chapstick. This wristlet seems like a perfect solution. I bet once things get colder I could even fit it in a coat pocket.
