Will These Be the Nail Oils to Save My Raggedy Hands? Maybe!

My cuticles are such an embarrassment. I cannot keep them looking nice and also like, live my life. It’s one or the other! I really like this Sally Hansen Cuticle Oil I’ve mentioned before, but it’s a little gloopy. It’s great for applying before bedtime or if I’m just like, going to sit still and not touch anything (so… not any time I’m awake). I was looking for something that was super easy to apply without getting the rest of my fingers/hands messy (why I got the Sally Hansen in the first place!) but was also a bit less petrifying (as in being stuck in one place) and gloopy (there’s no better word, I had to use it again). So I went to the internet and did my favorite thing: Reading reviews. The reviews told me to get Tenoverten Cuticle Oil. There are two, actually. and Target was offering 25% off beauty, so I got them both.

The Rose Oil is the specific cuticle oil Tenoverten offers. It’s a tiny tube, which for the price I paid worried me, but the reviews said it lasts a surprisingly long time and I’ve found that to be true. The Celery Oil is the same size, and it’s marketed as a nail oil (no mention of cuticles), and more for strengthening. My nails aren’t weak, but they do tend toward getting ridges and those obnoxious white spots, so I figured I’d try it out too.

Both oils have a teensy tiny rollerball for application. This makes sure that just the right amount of oil comes out, and stays where you put it. I tend to roll The Rose Oil around each of my fingernails, and The Celery Oil on my actual nail surface, and just leave them as in. No rubbing it in, no wiping off excess or getting oil on your fingertips. It does take dedication to put this oil on frequently, but with such an easy to use tube in such a small size, it’s not that difficult.
