This Setting Spray is Better Than All Nighter - For Half the Price
Lately I’ve been into opening the r/makeupaddcition subreddit and finding out what the kids are up to. This is a great way for me to feel validated in my own obsessions, and find other products to try (my two favorite hobbies). Lately I’ve been on a setting spray kick, because while I love Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray, I know there HAS to be one that’s just as good, but cheaper.
Once again, the Internet has come through, and I found out about Catrice Prime and Fine Finish Spray. There are four varieties of the Catrice setting spray, and while I would normally go for the mattifying version, enough Redditors and reviewers said that it smelled bad that I was convinced to avoid it. Instead, I went with the much more popular illuminating version, which promised to keep my makeup in place while also giving a dewy glow.
I should add that I have immensely oily skin, and even when I use a mattifying setting spray, I still use oil-blotting sheets at least once or twice throughout the day. I didn’t think the Catrice matte spray would change my entire life, so sticking with the dewy option - despite being very averse to any and all shine on my face, was just fine with me.
I put a lot of faith in the beauty obsessives of Reddit, but I didn’t think this spray would really be as good as Urban Decay’s. I’ve tried many alternatives, and while some are alright, I keep coming back to All Nighter as my go-to. WELL LET ME TELL YOU, if there is ANY dupe for Urban Decay’s hall of fame setting spray, it is this one from Catrice. Not only does the Prime and Fine have a finer mist than UD, it has a faint yet pleasing scent, it dries super quick, the pearlescent finish of the product in the bottle makes it seem super high-end, and most importantly it WORKS.
Not only do I think this Catrice Fixing Spray is just as good as IF NOT BETTER than Urban Decay All Nighter, it’s also much cheaper. A bottle of Catrice Fixing Spray will set you back $7.99 for 1.69oz ($4.73 per ounce) while All Nighter is going to cost you $33 for 4oz ($8.25 per ounce). The Catrice bottle is smaller, but with such a fine mist, I don’t use as many pumps as with the Urban Decay spray, so it’s even MORE economical.
If you want to set your makeup, make your face look more polished and makeup blended to perfection, AND not break the bank, Catrice Prime and Fine is for you. It’s certainly convinced this All Nighter evangelist to switch sides.
