My Favorite Eyeshadow is Now Totally Tubular
One of my favorite makeup products is Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow. It comes in a little pot, you apply it with your fingers and it’s great as a stand alone product or a base for other eyeshadows. There are a number of varieties, from metallic to leather, but the latest is completely different, because it comes in a TUBE.
When I saw these tubes of my favorite eyeshadow at the drugstore, my heart skipped a beat. I love the little pots that Color Tattoo Eyeshadow comes in, but they can dry out, you can end up with eyeshadow under your fingernails, and you have to be a bit careful about how you apply (since this product is best applied with your fingertips). Maybelline Color Tattoo Liquid Chrome Shadows, however, have doe foot applicators that allows you to precisely apply the shadow, and even use it as eyeliner. All the shades are a bit shimmery (they call it chrome) and range in color from a champagne blush to a bold emerald. I picked up Beige Luster and Bronze Sheen.
These wands are super easy to use - just apply over your lid with the doe foot applicator and blend with your fingertips. I’ve found that Beige Luster is great for making my eyelids just look a little shimmery (I initially wrote “wet,” but I figured shimmery made it sound more appealing - which it is!). The Bronze Sheen is my go-to shade. See also: Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze, and Creamy Beige from the leather range.
In looking into these new chrome shadows I’ve also discovered that my beloved Color Tattoo pots have undegone a bit of a makeover, and now have new colors. I haven’t been able to find them yet, but I’m on the hunt. In the meantime, I’m loving these wands, and I can’t wait to see if Maybelline makes even more Color Tattoo Eyeshadows for me to swoon over.
