Wear, Watch, Want #103: The Hot Bird, Cold Bird Edition
Wear: Sunbeam Heated Throw
You may remember that I already wrote about a heated throw. Well, it broke. And I got it at Costco, so even though I had it for months, no longer had my receipt, let alone the packaging, I could still return it. I used that blanket literally every day, so I needed a replacement, STAT. I found this one on Amazon, and I’d argue that it’s even better than my Costco one. This new one has POCKETS. There’s a kangaroo pocket on the front which I don’t really use, but is nice nonetheless. But the real MVP of this blanket is the foot pocket. It’s essentially a patch pocket sewn onto the underside of the blanket, but if you, like me, suffer from freezing cold toes (thanks, Raynaud’s Disease!), it is EVERYTHING. I will say, though, that if you have a dog that likes to burrow under your blanket near your toes, he will get stuck in the pocket and panic. This has happened at my house oh, 100 times.

I am not a fan of BoJack Horseman. That does not mean I think it’s bad. It means that I don’t like using my entertainment time to be depressed - I don’t need any help with that, especially from my escapism. This is also why I don’t like Breaking Bad. AGAIN I’M NOT SAYING IT’S BAD. Anyway, I can’t watch BoJack Horseman, but I like Lisa Hanawalt, and was excited to watch Tuca & Bertie. Even if it filled me with existential dread, at least it would be dread about WOMEN. But Tuca & Bertie just makes me HAPPY!
Bertie is an anxious mess (same) and Tuca is her brazen, loud best friend (…same) and the two of them tackle life and all the good and bad that comes with it. Also they’re birds. When the show gets super surreal is when I love it the most. The sex bug trial in the grocery store? THE BEST.
Want: Yeti 30oz Tumbler
I love my Yeti tumbler. I have said this already. But while I initially used it just for hot drinks, I’ve started using it for COLD ones. I know. Wild. I need to drink more water, and I’ll drink more if it’s cold water. I just keep putting ice cubes in a water bottle but then I thought: WHAT IF I used the Yeti and it just STAYED cold?? I now use one of my Yetis for hot drinks (the red one) and one for cold (blue), but I’d like to get a larger one with a straw for water. Then I can drink water that stays cold AND not have to get up to refill it all the time.
