Wear, Watch, Want #95: The Injured Bloodthirsty Coat Edition

Wear: Uniqlo Ultra Light Down Hooded Coat

I bought this coat kind of on a whim. I am not a spend $100 on a coat that maybe you don’t need kind of person, but I tried it on in the store and was like, “This is a great! I’ll take it.” … and then I wore it almost every day all fall/winter/spring. I have a large parka that is great for when I need to be outside for a prolonged period and it’s REAL cold, but this Uniqlo jacket is perfect for to and from indoor locations, errands, and just general life stuff. I also used it when traveling from chilly Seattle to warmer places, and I could just roll it up and stick it in the included carrying bag and it takes up so little space in a suitcase. I bought this jacket not knowing if I’d use it, and now I use it so much I want more in varying colors.

Watch: The Passage

The Passage is based on a well-known book series that I’d never heard of, but when I read about the differences between the book and the show I’m just gonna stick with the show THANKS. It stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar in what might be his first post-Pitch role, alongside a fantastic child actor, Saniyya Sidney. It’s a sci-fi series where scientists have inadvertently created what are essentially vampires, and the whole mess that comes with that. The best thing about The Passage, for me, are Stephen King’s tweets about The Passage. He loves it.

But he has notes!

Stephen King tweets a lot about TV and I’ve discovered some shows I’ve really enjoyed though his recommendations. MAKE NO MISTAKE: Fox, the network that airs The Passage, is in no way forgiven for cancelling Pitch. But I do look forward to The Passage each week.

Want: A thumbnail

I mentioned in December that I slammed my left thumb in a car door. It’s been a rough road ever since. The bottom of my nail came off, but the new nail hasn’t grown out enough to make it okay for the whole nail to come off, so now I have one half old nail, one half new nail. IT’S NOT IDEAL. I just cannot WAIT for this to be over and for my thumb to have one normal nail. I really don’t think that’s too much to ask. Also, when the bottom half of the nail came off I went to urgent care, thinking that they would remove the rest. The doctor took one look at my thumb and said, “Nope, it’s actually perfect as it is, just leave it.” I just cannot believe THIS is the best case scenario. UGH.
