Wear, Watch, Want #97: The Bloody Painted Shirt Edition

I bought this shirt because I wanted a somewhat nicer shirt to wear on days when I wanted to be super comfy but also look ever so slightly put together. I didn’t know at the time just how much I would love this shirt - now I wear it like three to four times a week. I wore it today and I’m already planning on wearing it tomorrow. I will say that it fits me VERY differently than it fits on the site’s models, and it could be that I bought it in a smaller size than intended and it fits me more like a loose t-shirt instead of a full blown tunic. I would like a closet full of them, but wearing this one virtually all the time is working out okay too
Watch: The Inventor
I am riveted by the story of Theranos. I read Bad Blood, I listened to The Dropout podcast, and I watched The Inventor. I will say, if you haven’t read Bad Blood, it is the absolute best of the three and I consider it essential reading (I’ve already recommended it). It’s best too, I think, if you read it before watching the HBO doc or listening to the podcast. The documentary is a great way to have visuals to tie into the book. I was absolutely shocked at how OLD all the men who supported Elizabeth Holmes looked, despite knowing their ages (and more!) from my reading and listening. This is truly a story of how far you can get by exploiting the horniness of old men, and in that regard I kind of respect Holmes’s hustle. Literally everything else though, is, uh, NOT GREAT. Anyway, watch The Inventor, but read Bad Blood first!
Want: Paint
I need to paint my house. Like, every room. I have lived here for almost a year, have not chosen paint colors, and I’m finally to the point where I want this DONE already. I’m also, however, very particular, and I want to do this one time and one time only. I had initially planned out some paint colors before I had any furniture (remember how I didn’t have any furniture? I do now, mostly.) and once I started filling the house i realized my color choices were all wrong. I would love if I could just instantly paint like my house is in The Sims but I guess just finally choosing a paint color would be leaps and bounds ahead of what I’ve accomplished, paint-wise, before.
