For Valentine's Day I Wrote About My True Love: Eyebrow Products

If there’s an eyebrow product out there, I’ve tried it. I mean, that’s not explicitly true, but I have tried a TON of brow products, enough that I have my tried and true favorites. I’ve reviewed a ton of them before, but I thought I’d make a sort of master guide to my top picks. These are the ones that I keep close at hand, that I reach for over and over. No matter what kind of look i’m going for, there’s a brow pencil or gel that is the best one for the job. Here are my top 5 brow products.

Essence Make Me Brow Gel (I use the shade Blondy Brows, and wrote a review here) is the one product I’d recommend to absolutely anyone who wants to give their brows a little oomph. It’s super easy to apply, and can be used to a minimum or a maximum depending on how bold you want your brows. Oh, and it costs TWO DOLLARS. I buy three at a time.

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Gel (I wear Blonde Luck, and here’s my review) is very, very similar to Make Me Brow, but a little bit thicker, and in my opinion the packaging isn’t as good as the Essence. This one makes the cut, though, because it’s sold at Target, which stopped carrying Essence a year or so ago. Convenience gets you a place at the table!

Cover Girl Easy Breezy Brow Pencil (I wear Soft Blonde, and here’s my review) is a new addition to my menagerie, but is already a fave. The tiny little pencil allows for precise application, and the spoolie on the other end is rigid enough to tame the wildest brows. It’s cheap, it’s easy to find, and it gets the job done. I wear this most days.

Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil is the fancy schmancy one to make my top 5. I use the shade Blonde and I reviewed it here. Like all Hourglass products, this baby is absolutely life-changing… and expensive. I will say, though, that while Hourglass has maybe the highest price point I’m willing to accept for makeup, they do make a superior product and I think it’s worth it. This pencil also comes in a whopping NINE shades, which is more than almost any other brow product from any line - and when I wrote my review, it came in three shades. (For reference, Anastasia Beverly Hills, a brand literally BUILT on brows, offers their Brow Whiz pencil in 10 shades.)

Last but not least, my bold brow baby, TonyMoly Ink Coloring Brows. This is a brow gel that comes packaged like a fountain pen (cute), uses tattoo verbiage so you know it’ll stay put, and gives you a MAJOR brow. This product provides such a bold brow that I will only use this when I have my hair down, because I feel like these brows, with my hair pulled back, basically makes me look like a walking talking pair of eyebrows. If you want to get that bushy yet chic eyebrow look you see on supermodels, you need this brow gel. Be forewarned, this is a Korean brand, so if you have lighter hair (like I do) the lightest color is still going to be dark. But that’s the look!

These are my top 5 favorite brow products, but I’ve reviewed many more. Read about every one by following this link, and may the brows be with you.
