This website is clearly becoming an Athleta Stan site. THIS IS WHO I AM. But seriously, when I tell you I wear this sweater every day, I want you to know that I mean that in the most literal way possible. I question whether I should keep folding it up and tucking it in at night, and instead should just drape it over its own dress form for eight hours until I put it on again. It’s warm, it’s comfy, it’s large but doesn’t swallow me up (not that I’d be opposed to that). It’s also made out of recycled plastic bottles, which seems like a valiant effort at conservation, but it makes me wonder if practices like this are only increasing the demand for plastic bottles (I could talk about the increased demand for STUFF being a huge issue with environmentalism for, oh, four hours). BUT, nevertheless, I love this sweater and I truly wear it EVERY. DAY.

Watch: The Righteous Gemstones

The Righteous Gemstones is a great, hilarious show about a televangelist family that is far from being a Good Christian Family. But if you need one reason to watch this show, it’s “Misbehavin’.” The song sung my Gemstone family matriarch and her brother that catapulted them to fame is simply perfect.

And here’s an oral history of how “Misbehavin’” came to be. It has been WEEKS and I still catch myself singing lines from “Misbehavin’” to myself, to the dog, to my breakfast. All songwriters, your life’s mission is to attempt to come up with a line like “Runnin’ through the house with a pickle in my mouth.”

When I wrote about squalane I did a little searching of Biossance on the Sephora site and found their Squalane + Tea Tree Detox Mask. Tea tree oil sucks all the gunk out of your pores, but then squalane moisturizes and restores balance. This sounds like a perfect combo, and I think I’ll be picking up this mask the next time Sephora has a sale.
