The Octopus is Hiding a GREAT Face Mask

The best way to lure me into a purchase is to present me with a novelty product in novelty packaging. I can’t resist. You can imagine when I was in TonyMoly the other day and I came across this bubble mask that was delivered inside an octopus.

The Tako Bubble Pore Pack is delightful. Every time I open the cabinet and see this guy I smile. But the mask inside is just as satisfying. In case you don’t know, a bubble mask is one that you apply, and then it foams up on your face. This one foams up very quickly, and you can watch it puff up and hear it bubble and pop. Just wearing this mask is an experience.

BUT! It’s also effective! I have very oily skin, and this mask is made for me. It soaks up all the oils and makes your skin feel super squeaky clean - but unlike other products that are for oily skin, this one doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight or dry. It soaks up all that greasiness and leaves you skin feeling clean and moisturized. Perfection.

This mask has a fairly strong scent. It’s kind of cologne-y, and when I first masked I thought it was overpowering, but on every other application I haven’t minded it at all. Maybe because I was busy marveling at the feeling and sound of my mask a-bubblin’.

I would add that when you wash this mask off, it doesn’t come off easy. The top layer is bubbles, but underneath, and especially when you add water, this mask is thick. You know I like to mask before jumping in the shower, so removal is relatively easy for me, but if you want to wash this mask of at the sink, it may be a bit of an ordeal. Overall, though, this mask is perfect for someone who loves a beauty novelty (me), or someone who has very oily skin that they love to put in check (also me).
