The Miracle Product That Tames My Wild Baby Hairs
In September, I started going to Barre class three times a week. I’ve mentioned before that my new rheumatologist told me I needed to do more cardio, and that was the impetus for me trying Barre. WELL, I just had an appointment with her, and she was shocked that I took her advice and started a regular, more cardio heavy, exercise routine. “People never follow advice! No one ever actually exercises!” she exclaimed. Well, I have a disease that old people get, but I’m young, and I want to avoid feeling 70 when I’m 30 and also, you know, make it to 70, so I’m taking all the good advice I can.
This is all to say, I get very sweaty three times a week and that means I have to wash my hair just as often, as opposed to my former routine: As infrequently as possible. I also have these rogue baby hairs that just ALWAYS stick up, a condition that seems to be exacerbated by having clean hair so often.
I got a big (BIG) bag of hair product samples from Nordstrom when I bought shampoo and conditioner during a promotion, and I started using the tiny sample bottle of Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer. At first, I used this product as a glossing cream on my dry hair. In all honesty this is because I didn’t read the bottle and had no idea it was labeled as a heat protective primer. You can use it on dry hair, but when I actually read the bottle I tried it on my wet hair before blowdrying and my insane vertical baby hairs virtually disappeared.
I don’t spray the Invisible Oil Primer all over my hair - just on my bangs and the crown of my head. Then I blow dry as usual. The difference in my hair is shocking. I no longer look like I’ve just crawled through some sort of static electricity obstacle course. My hair is smooth and under control, and the smell of this product is so intoxicating, I might use it even if it didn’t work.
I now have a full size bottle of Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer - I wrote about how it was in my Black Friday sales plan here and yes, I DID go to the Sephora sale page at 9pm to snag all my chosen deals and YES, it did sell out overnight, just as I predicted. I am a great shopper with (now, with the help of Bumble and Bumble) great hair.
