Bumble and Bumble Sumotech

I'm going to talk about growing out my hair again. It's pretty much what's going on in my life right now. If you came up to me and said, "Hey Sarah, how's tricks?" I'd respond, "I'm growing out my hair." And then I'd make a face like I'd just taken a drink of orange juice after brushing my teeth. Sidebar: I've been collecting hair inspiration pictures on Pinterest, and I'll regularly do a search for "short hair" to find new ideas. Some of the results are pictures of women with hair past their shoulders, and the pinners have written the caption "short hair" or "possible short hairstyle?" as if that's short. My hair was, at one point, an inch long. These women are delusional wusses. They don't know from short hair. They don't know what pain I'm going through. They're stupid and I hate them all. Sorry, that was my evil grow-out talking.

Back to business. The growing out process has been a little easier this time, since I have good shampoo and a good hair stylist (I go to Aveda. I've never had a bad experience at an Aveda salon. When I'm in a new place and need a haircut I just look for the nearest Aveda and go there. They're consistently awesome, and they give you hot tea and a scalp massage). I also have a great hair product in my arsenal: Bumble and Bumble Sumotech.

I like my hair to look a little messy, but I also fuss with it all day and don't like it to be sticky or stiff. Sumotech give my hair definition and style, but I can still rub my hands all over my head and not end up with all kinds of gunk on my paws. If my hair falls a little flat during the day, I rough it up with my hands and the Sumotech re-activates and BAM - my style is back. Sumotech is great for short hair, but it also works for medium lengths. I'm planning on using it through every phase of my grow-out. After I got my hair lopped off, I went to get some styling wax to do my 'do, and I decided to try out Sumotech on a whim. I'm so glad I did - this little pot of magic is helping to lessen the trauma of going from short hair to long. Bless you, Sumotech, bless you.

I've had short hair many times, and I've used a LOT of different products. Sumotech is my product of choice now, but two hairdo-ers that are equally awesome and worth mentioning are Jonathan Product Dirt Texturizing Paste and Aveda Men Pure-Formance Grooming Clay.
